In a market dominated by expensive commercial software, there is a need for low-cost alternatives suitable for small ministries and under-resourced communities. Much free software already exists; however, it has not been compiled into a single package with the needs of Christians in mind.

To serve the need for free software, TechMission has compiled the Christian Freeware CD: a collection of free and open source software for Christians, churches, and nonprofits. The CD includes Microsoft Office-compatible productivity software, Internet filtering and accountability software, educational software, presentation software customized for worship, and Bible study software for Windows, Palm and PocketPC. The entire CD, or any of the individual programs, may be downloaded for free from ChristianFreeware.org. Copies may also be ordered from TechMission for $1 each.
